M9 – Museo del 900 presents the exhibition TASTE! Italians and Food. A relationship between 1970 and 2050, first of a trilogy of exhibitions dedicated to Italian passions between past, present and future.
The exhibition, focused on the evolution of the relationship of Italians with food in relation to the transformation of the country itself, reflects on the word “taste”, which best represents the individual-society relationship. It witnesses, along with the changing of habits, the way the furnishing adapted to it as well.
The exhibition evokes, in a scientifically appropriate and amusing way, the spirit of a people that for centuries has seen in the Italian cuisine and taste a network of knowledge and practices that are compared and integrated. The transversal suggestions of the exhibition give back the extraordinary and irreducible cultural biodiversity of Italy, which finds its backbone in the local diversity.
To accompany the exhibition, a rich calendar of events, tastings, workshops, talks, guided tours, openings, conferences and other initiatives.
