The international competition is promoted by Venice Design Week, Arte e Design Venezia, Polo Museale del Veneto, Archeological Museum of Naples, ADI Italian Design Association, euroinnovators, Studio D, design33, cantina creativa.
We asked designers to create objects inspired by archaeological finds of the Italian Museums and Archeological sites.
The designers selected are Anna Fanigina, Wu Meng-Ju, Amedeo Bonini, D’ARC studio.
The award ceremony will take place the 4th of October during Venice Design Week 2020.
The exhibition is postponed to 2021. The competition is promoted by institutional media, press, social media and designers and architects websites.
The award ceremony will be hosted by Hotel NG Collection Grand Hotel Palazzo dei Dogi.

Speakers:
Enrico Giannichedda is an independent archaeologist who mainly deals with methodology of archaeological research, archeology of production and history of material culture. Among his works, Archeologia della produzione, insieme a Tiziano Mannoni (Einaudi, Torino 1996), Uomini e cose. Appunti di archeologia (Edipuglia, Bari 2006), Archeologia teorica. Nuova edizione (Carocci, Roma 2016) e il romanzo Quasi giallo. Romanzo di archeologia (Edipuglia, Bari 2018).
2019 edition of the competition:
The award ceremony of the first edition was held at the Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Adria in october, 2019. The exhibition of the first edition will be held together with the second edition.
