A Silver and Goldsmith Graduate from the Städtische Meisterschule für das Gold- und Silberschmiedehandwerk of Munich, Josef Friedrich is today owner of JF DAS ATELIER.
His production unifies creativity and high – quality craftsmanship while seeking uniqueness and self – expression. His artistic research is focused on the most ancient and universal of jewelry traits: the semantic load.
Among his many achievements, he won Made by MTV in 2005 and had the opportunity to take part in a solo jewelry exhibition in Genoa.
JOCALE
The piece Jocale celebrates our intimate relationship with jewelry.
The necklace´s personalized design takes its anamorphic shape from the message the owner wants to convey, a message that only its reflection on the matching mirroring surface is able to reveal. The essence of the object and its appearance are blended in a way that defines its aesthetic.
Concealing and revealing are one and the same.

Necklace: partial water-cut executed, hand refined.
