Gambaro & Tagliapietra is a company that looks to the future without forgetting the past; its creations are true works of high craftsmanship, authentic collector’s items.
Its history began in 1974 and almost 50 years of research have allowed it to create a refined production: small and large handcrafted masterpieces.
All the creations are signed by the master Matteo Tagliapietra who, together with Luciano Gambaro, promotes and inspires styles to innovate this millenary art. This unmistakable style is reflected from the most classic objects to the most innovative ones in a continuous comparison with the most quoted designers of the international scene.
Gambaro & Tagliapietra is part of the Promovetro Consortium and is a licensee (code n.022) of the Vetro Artistico® Murano trademark, a guarantee that the Veneto Region grants only to Murano producers.
The furnace is open to the public by reservation only.

On the occasion of Venice Design Week 2021, the Gambaro&Tagliapietra glassworks will make the glass prizes for the competition 𝗝𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗩𝗗𝗪 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟭.

 

Biography:
Matteo Tagliapietra, son of a Murano glass master, was born on the 16th November 1973. He began to work at 16 as pupil of Mario Gambaro: owner and glass master at Vetreria Artistica Gambaro & Poggi Glass Company. His apprenticeship leads him, at the age of 21, to become a master in the same company. In 2015 there was a great turning point: Tagliapietra founds together with Mario’s heirs the Gambaro & Tagliapietra Srl Glass Company, where he works as glass master, partner and at the same time promoter of new lines, styles and contaminations together with Luciano Gambaro.
